Two vehicles were towed from the scene of a crash at 12:42 p.m. April 21 on Interstate 80 in East Side Borough. No one was injured in the incident.

State police at Fer Ridge said it happened when Sviatoslav Kuskeev, 51, of Brooklyn, New York, and Daniel N. Frey Jr., 36, of Brookville, were driving a 2021 Freightliner and 2023 Volvo, respectively.

As they were both westbound, police said a piece of the passenger-side rear axle of the Freightliner came loose and stuck the undercarriage of the Volvo, rupturing its fuel tank. The Volvo also had a flat tire, police said.

Police said the Freightliner came to rest on the shoulder of the interstate and was damaged due to the malfunctioning.
