Firefighters from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, along with volunteers from Carbon and Schuylkill counties, are on scene of a wildlife outside of Jim Thorpe.
The fire broke out near the D & L trail down from the Perch Restaurant in Mahoning Township.
Helicopters are scene dumping buckets of water onto the blaze, which has now crested the mountain and is coming down on the East Jim Thorpe side.
