Arrest made in Nesquehoning gas station robbery in December

Nesquehoning police have made an arrest in a robbery that happened in the borough in December.

According to a press release by the Nesquehoning Police Department, one of three suspects have been charged.

Rashaan Sparrow of Philadelphia faces felony charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property for his part in the Dec. 28 robbery at the Fuel Up gas station.

Police said that Sparrow, as well as two other suspects entered the store wearing masks and gloves and used a key to access the skill machines as well as two bank bags containing cash from behind the counter. They said $14,307 was taken at the time.

Police said that the investigation was assisted by the Carbon County District Attorney’s office, Pennsylvania State Police, Philadelphia Police and the ATF.

The case remains open, pending the identification of the remaining suspects.
