Kitten shower provides opportunity to adopt, raise funds

Foxy Cradle, pet adoption service in Coplay, held a kitten shower recently at Friedens Fire Company.

The nonprofit is a neonatal rescue for newborn, sick, injured, abused, wounded, or otherwise high-risk young kittens, or nursing mother cats with litters found in life threatening situations.

Kandice Reinert of Coplay, started this rescue in 2019. There are about 90 kittens and 18 mother cats available for adoption.

Four kittens were adopted at the fundraiser.

The event was a great fundraiser for the rescue.

Children received lucky Easter eggs and adults were able to enter a prize raffle.

Buttered Crumb Bake Shop supplied baked goods, and there was Kitty Town Coffee for purchase.

Reinert said, “Our volunteers donate their time, talents, care and love, to each kitten.”

These sleeping kittens were available for adoption at the Foxy's Cradle kitten shower.
