Schoch sworn in for Slatington Council

Aaron Schoch was sworn in Monday night as a Slatington Councilman by his wife Mayor Jeralyn Schoch.

Aaron Schoch said, “I am very honored and pleased to be on the Slatington Borough Council. I am looking forward to serving Slatington.”

Along with his busy work schedule for Whitehall Township Public Works, his three German shepherds, he will also be on the Sewer/Solid Waste Committee.

He is replacing Councilman Jeffery Hausman, who resigned in late February, citing differences of opinion with Council procedures.

Borough manager Dan Stevens said it is not a conflict of interest to have relatives serve in leadership positions.
