Tamaqua students seek votes for company video

Students from Tamaqua Area Middle School are asking for votes on a video they produced for a Schuylkill County company.

The team of Aidan Elston, Amelia MacDonald, Corabel Najarro, Madison Schaeffer and Parker Steencken visited Hydro in Cressona for their “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” video.

Their piece is competing against 24 others from schools in Schuylkill and Berks counties.

Votes will be accepted Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday by visiting the https://www.whatssocool.org/

The team’s adviser is Megan Frantz.

Created by the Manufacturers Resource Center in Allentown, the What’s So Cool About Manufacturing contests seek to change students’ perceptions about manufacturing careers. Teams of students and teacher coaches receive camera equipment, software and professional guidance as they learn to script, record and edit their video stories.
