State police at the Lehighton barracks said Ashley N. Capone, 23, of Saylorsburg, had minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 5:08 p.m. March 17 at the intersection of Route 115 and Meixsell Valley Road in Ross Township. Police said she refused emergency medical services treatment at the scene.

Police said the crash occurred when a 2016 Dodge Caravan operated by Jacqueline Pelengaris, 40, of Selden, New York, proceeded straight across Route 115, striking a 2012 Kia Forte that Capone was driving northbound. Police said the Forte spun counterclockwise and came to rest on the right shoulder of the road, sustaining disabling damages.

Police said the Forte was towed from the scene while the Caravan sustained minor/functional front end damages.

Pelengaris was uninjured, as were two juveniles who were passengers with Capone.

Police said Pelengaris was cited for the crash.
