State police at Frackville

State police at the Frackville barracks reported the following incidents:

• Police were summoned to a report of an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle at 11 a.m. March 13 at 1010 Pine Creek Road, East Brunswick Township.

• Police said two people were cited for harassment by physical contact after an argument turned physical during a child custody exchange.

It happened at 4:51 p.m. March 9 on Bridge Street in Kline Township. A 66-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, both from McAdoo, were cited.

A 30-year-old woman from Hudson told police her ex-boyfriend and his mother shoved her during the child exchange.

• Police said several thefts from motor vehicles took place between 1-2 p.m. March 14 at Locust Lake State Park, Ryan Township.

A 32-year-old woman from Mahanoy City, a 23-year-old woman and a 21-year-old woman, both from Shenandoah, and a 55-year old woman from Pottsville reported damages. Vehicles include a 2021 Honda CRV and a 2015 Kia Sportage.

• Police said an 11-year-old girl from Pottsville reported an indecent assault incident that happened between midnight and 7:05 p.m. March 14 at a property on Woodside Road, Cass Township. The investigation is continuing.

• A 61-year-old McAdoo man is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a traffic stop made by police at 8:35 p.m. March 15 on the Gilberton Road in Gilberton. Police said he was stopped for multiple traffic violations at the time.

• Police were called to the Bella Luna Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria, 6 N. Kennedy Drive, McAdoo, at 6:43 p.m. March 15 to investigate a harassment incident.

Someone called the business many times stating vulgar phrases and vague threats.

• Jeffrey Miller, 49, of Mahanoy City, was cited for harassment by physical contact after police were called to a disturbance at 4:56 p.m. March 16 on Grier Avenue, Rush Township.

A 54-year-old man from Quakake said he and Miller got into an argument that turned physical when Miller struck him in the head with a closed fist. The victim had minor injuries, police said.

• Police were summoned to a scattering rubbish incident at 8:25 a.m. March 17 at 1360 Interstate 81, Delano Township.

Police said a passing motorist saw a man standing near a mattress in the median of the interstate and reported it to police. They said the mattress, however, was observed several days prior to the motorist’s report, nullifying the woman’s report that the man had illegally dumped it on the median.

• Police were called to a Protection From Abuse order violation at 10:34 a.m. March 16.

It happened at a property on Morea Road, West Mahanoy Township. A 27-year-old woman from Frackville initiated the PFA.

• A man and woman from Lebanon, both 20, are facing drug possession charges after police made a traffic stop at 10:07 p.m. March 15 on Interstate 81 in Kline Township.

Police said they were occupants of a 2008 Dodge Caliber that was stopped. Police discovered marijuana during a consent search of the vehicle.

• A 35-year-old Orwigsburg man was cited for harassment by communications after police were called to an incident March 15 at a property on Pine Valley Road ion East Brunswick Township.

Police said it was determined the man, an ex-boyfriend, continues to harass the victim through communication.

• A 29-year-old Orwigsburg man is facing charges of assault resulting in serious bodily injuries after police were called to a property on Wetherill Street in New Ringgold at 8:26 p.m. Feb. 20.

A 37-year-old woman from New Ringgold related she and her boyfriend engaged in an argument that turned physical. Police said the victim was observed to have sustained serious bodily injuries.

The suspect was located at his mother’s residence after the altercation.

• Police said a 20-year-old McAdoo man reported criminal mischief to his vehicle at 5:39 p.m. March 7.

They said the driver’s side front door of the victim’s 2023 Kia was smashed with a blunt object.
