AARP TaxAide volunteers are ready to help you with your 2023 income tax returns

Certified AARP TaxAide volunteers are available to provide free tax preparation assistance to middle and low income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older. All sites offer E-filing and direct deposit for any refunds.

In order to receive help filing your 2023 federal, state and local tax returns, taxpayers must bring copies of their 2022 tax returns for comparison, plus all income and deduction information for Tax Year 2023.

Taxpayers must bring photo ID, social security cards for yourself and any dependents. If you want refunds direct deposited, please bring a check as proof of the correct account and routing numbers.

Tax help will be available during the times and days listed at the following locations through April 15.

• CARBON COUNTY: Appointments can be made by phone only. Call 610-824-7830 ext. 4511. Please note the hours have changed.

• Tuesdays: Lehighton Recreation Center, 243 S. 8th St., 18235. 1 to 4 p.m.

• Wednesdays: Kidder Township Municipal Building, Route 1003 & Route 903. 9 a.m. to noon.

• Thursdays: Palmerton Senior Center, 501 Delaware Ave. 18071. 1 to 4 p.m.
