September 12, 1959 - Andy Semmel throws a pair of touchdown passes to Bobby Boyer to help Lehighton earn a 32-7 victory over Jim Thorpe. Semmel connects with Boyer in the first quarter on a 31-yard scoring toss that gives the Indians, coached by Tom Faulkner, an early lead. The pair hook up again in the fourth quarter on a 19-yard TD pass that puts the game out of reach. The winners also receive a 2-yard scoring run from Ron Steigerwalt and a 9-yarder from Paul Diehl. Semmel’s interception sets up the Diehl tally.
