Palmerton Area School District is looking for crossing guards for the upcoming 2023-24 school year.

District officials said the job encompasses two shifts per day, one from 7:55-8:25 a.m. and another from 2:50-3:20 p.m.

The job pays $10 per shift.

“It’s not quite as desperate of a situation as last year, but we are still facing a need to fill our crossing guard positions in town for the S.S. Palmer and Parkside school,” Jamie Schuler, assistant to the superintendent, said.

Applicants must submit a support staff application, Act 34 Criminal, Act 151 Child Abuse and Act 114 FBI Fingerprinting clearances. Application materials can be found on the district website at www.palmerton.org under the “Human Resources” tab.
