State police at Bethlehem - crashes

State police at Bethlehem released the following information about cases:

• Police cited Dennis C. Rupp, 68, of Germansville, after a two-vehicle crash at 6:36 p.m. May 31 at the intersection of Route 309 and Bake Oven Road in Heidelberg Township.

Police said he was driving a 2000 GMC Sierra that was involved in a crash with a vehicle operated by Braydon J. Kessler, 18, of Frackville. They did not provide the details of the incident.

Police said Rupp sustained suspected minor injuries and was treated at the scene by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance corps.

• Evan Nagle, 24, of Allentown, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol after a motor vehicle crash that happened at 5:40 a.m. April 29 on Route 873 in North Whitehall Township.

Police said he was driving a 2020 Cadillac that crashed into a house owned by a 66-year-old man from Schnecksville.

Police said it was determined Nagle was under the influence and incapable of safe driving. He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for further medical evaluation.

• Police said a driver fled the scene of a two-vehicle crash at 4:46 p.m. May 11 on Mauch Chunk Road in North Whitehall Township.

Police said the vehicle was traveling north when it veered onto the southern shoulder of the road and struck a 2004 Toyota Sienna driven by Elaine G. Beam, 66, of Slatington. Police said both vehicles moved onto the shoulder of the road before the driver of the striking vehicle left the scene without exchanging information.

Beam was not injured, police said.

• Tyler Schlegel, 29, of Slatington, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 10:30 a.m. May 15 on Old Mill Road in Washington Township.

Police said he was driving a 2000 Mercury Sable northbound when it veered off the eastern shoulder of the roadway and struck a utility pole and ditch. The car sustained disabling damages and was towed from the scene.

Police said Schlegel was cited for the crash.

• Mica Kincaid, 59, of Weissport, had serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash that involved a motorcycle he was operating at 4:58 p.m. May 31 at the intersection of Route 145 and Rising Sun Road in North Whitehall Township.

Police said he was transported by personnel from the Northern Valley ambulance corps to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.

Police said he was operating a 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Boy that struck the rear center bumper of a 2012 Mazda 3 driven by Matthew R. Hontz, 40, of Coplay. Police said Kincaid was ejected from the cycle, which continued forward and side-slipped onto its right side and came to rest in the southbound lane of Route 145.

Hontz was uninjured.

Police said Kincaid was cited for following too closely.

• Alyssa D. Dottery, 31, of Jim Thorpe, was cited with following too closely after a three-vehicle crash at 7:31 a.m. June 2 on Route 873 in Washington Township. Police said she had possible injuries but was not transported from the scene.

Police said she was driving a 2016 Ford Escape when she looked down and became distracted, resulting in the Escape striking the rear of a 2020 Hyundai Kona operated by Terrianne Egrie-Leon, 36, of Walnutport.

Police said Dottery got out the Escape through the front passenger side door and the car began to roll backward, striking a 2018 Toyota Rav4 driven by Lisa M. Randow, 56, of Slatington.

Police said the Escape was towed from the scene while Egrie-Leon arranged to have the Kona removed from the scene. Police said she had a minor laceration of the left forearm. Randow was uninjured.
