Three new members have recently been added to the board of directors of the Miners Memorial Medical Center, Coaldale.

They are Lucy M. Murphy, a certified public accountant from Tamaqua who prior to establishing her own accounting firm was a partner with Wittig and Company, Tamaqua; Lawrence Gazdick, vice president of the Nesquehoning Borough Authority and a certified building and safety code instructor for the United States Department of Labor; and Robert J. Pitts of Hometown, a member of the sales division of Air Products and Chemicals, Hometown, and the Tamaqua Industrial Development Enterprises board.
