Laneco Department Stores announced ground would be broken Monday for a new shopping complex in the Tidewood East Industrial Park, Hometown.

Ray Bartolacci, president of the company, said he will be joined by Rush Township supervisors and representatives of TIDE at the groundbreaking ceremony. He said the firm will construct a supermarket department store and an indoor mall that will house about 14 stores under one roof on the north side of the park entrance.

The $5-million mall will be about the size of Laneco’s Carbon Plaza Mall in Mahoning Township.
