A free car seat check will take place at the new Carbon County Children and Youth Services building, located at 525 Iron St., Lehighton, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

The event, sponsored by St. Luke’s University Health Network Kids Zone, Lehigh Valley Health Network, the Carbon County Commissioners and the Pennsylvania State Police, will be held rain or shine and will check to make sure the child’s car seat is installed properly, has no recalls or damage and is the correct one for your child.

Parents are asked to bring their child to the check so that the seat can be properly fit for that child.
