A blown out tire caused a tractor-trailer hauling hazardous explosive materials to overturn on Interstate 81 in Ryan Township just before 6 a.m. Thursday, state police at Frackville said. According to police, the driver, Zachary W. Long, 27, of Shamokin, was not injured. Police said Long was traveling north near mile marker 125.6 when a front tire blew out. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck an embankment, which caused it to overturn onto the passenger side. Long was wearing a seat belt, police said. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
