After the Panthers fall behind by three runs in the top of the first, Sodraski connects in the home half to put PV up 4-3. The winners add another tally in the first when Pat McLaughlin doubles and scores on a single by Al Vavra. Hedash adds needed insurance with his homer in the fourth frame. Greg Whitehead earns the complete-game victory, striking out 12.
