State Police at Lehighton respond to incidents

State police at the Lehighton responded to the following incidents:

• Police were summoned to a residence in the 900 block of Hideaway Hill Road, Polk Township, at 10:54 a.m. March 9 to investigate a Protection From Abuse order violation.

A 43-year-old woman made the claim against a 42-year-old man, but police said no violation of the order took place.

• Police said a 28-year-old man is the victim of a harassment incident that they were asked to respond to at noon Jan. 7.

Police said they were summoned to a residence in the 600 block of Robinhood Drive, Polk Township, where the man told them he was requested to send money to an undisclosed person in exchange for photographs of himself not being leaked to the internet.

• Rhunderbert Medina, 58, of Lansford, was charged with harassment after they were summoned on March 6 at 4:48 p.m.

Police said the incident happened on East Kline Avenue, where Medina struck a woman in the head with his hand.

• Police are investigating a criminal mischief incident reported at 1 a.m. March 6.

It happened at the Raceway Gas Station, 7605 Interchange Road, Towamensing Township, where three knobs were removed from a gas pump, rendering it disabled.

Police said a 19-year-old man is the suspect in the case.

• Police said an 11-year-old boy from Kunkletown is the victim of an incident that they said was handled without criminal charges being filed.

Police said they were called to a residence on Molasses Valley Road, Eldred Township, for an incident they labeled a “solicitation to commit crime.”

They said it involved two juvenile siblings and happened between 8 a.m. March 1 and 11:35 a.m. March 27.

• A 26-year-old Tamaqua man was charged with terroristic threats after a household incident at 5:49 p.m. March 4.

Police said the victim is a 53-year-old man from Nesquehoning.

Police said the incident occurred when a household family member threatened another household family member.

Further investigation yielded the suspect is a felon not to be in possession of firearms.

• Police were summoned at 5:48 p.m. March 6 to 24 W. Ridge St., Lansford, for an out of control man.

Upon arrival, police said they found a man lying on the sidewalk.

Police learned there was an active warrant out for the man’s arrest. He was also arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Names of suspects were not released by police.
