Carbon County ARDs

Carbon County Judge Steven R. Serfass last week accepted three people into the Accelerated Rehabilitative Disposition program.

Admission into the program is not an admission of guilt. Those who successfully complete the program may have their records expunged.

Kyle Patrick Ferryman, 26, of Clearwater, Florida, was charged with obstructing law enforcement, giving false statements to authorities, accidental damage to an unattended vehicle or property, failing to notify police of an accident or damage to a vehicle, reckless driving and careless driving on July 17, 2022.

Judge Serfass accepted Ferryman into the ARD program for six months.

He ordered him to pay $450 to offset the cost of the program plus a $50 monthly supervision fee and a LiveScan fee of $100; and to perform 50 hours of community service.

Frank Anthony Pranzo Jr., 49, of Deer Park, New York, was charged with filing a false/fraud/incomplete insurance claim and theft by deception by giving a false impression on Nov. 1, 2021.

Judge Serfass accepted Pranzo into the ARD program for two years. He ordered him to pay $450 to offset the cost of the program plus a $50 monthly supervision fee and a LiveScan fee of $100; and to perform 50 hours of community service.

Robert James Sargent, 52, of Jim Thorpe, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment on Oct. 14, 2022.

Judge Serfass accepted Sargent into the ARD program for two years.

He ordered him to pay $450 to offset the cost of the program plus a $50 monthly supervision fee and a LiveScan fee of $100; to perform 100 hours of community service, complete an anger management program, and to have no contact with the victim.
