West End Winter Fair has lantern release, wagon rides

The weather was unfortunately winter-like for the return of the West End Winter Fair.

Saturday was cold and windy. Sunday was just a shade warmer.

A highlight was the lantern release just after sunset Saturday night.

Two popular attractions were the hay wagon pulled by two beautiful draft horses happy to take passengers on a tour of the fairgrounds.

The second popular attraction were the pony rides. All day there was a line of parents patiently braving the cold and keeping their cameras ready to snap photos.

The Cramer Brothers, Jeni Hackett, Brian Dean Moore band and Patrick Conklin braved it out to provide songs from the Main Stage.

There was food, a tricky tray and vendors offering items.

S’mores and the fire pits were also popular.
