A Monroe County man has been charged with stealing a vehicle from Massachusetts.

At 6:04 p.m. Tuesday, Pocono Mountain Regional Police were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Belgravia Drive in Tobyhanna, Coolbaugh Township.

The driver Justin Massa, 26, of Tobyhanna had left the scene.

Shortly after, it was discovered that the involved motor vehicle, a 2017 black Infiniti Q50, was confirmed stolen out of Worcester, Massachusetts.

Officers conducted follow-up interviews with residents in the area of the crash scene.

Based on the investigation, officers were able to identify and locate Massa, who was placed under arrest without incident.

Massa was charged with receiving stolen property; driving while operating privilege is suspended; driving on roadways laned for traffic; and driving on right side of roadway.

His bail has been set at $25,000, and he is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing Feb. 8 before District Judge Danielle Travagline of Tobyhanna.
