Rush-Ryan Seniors

The Rush-Ryan-Delano senior citizens met on Jan. 10 with 38 members in attendance. A moment of silence was observed for Mae Bittner. Members on the sick list include: Doris Yeager, Marlene Randig, Maryann Laughlin, Lucille Spaar, Larry Bower, Bill Morrison. Doris Yeager is celebrating a birthday in January.

Two cakes, donated by Gloria Gerhard were chanced off. Winners were Norma Lee Burke and Mary Reed. Fruit salad, donated by Sherry Herb and cupcakes donated by Carol Sedlock, were served.

The group meets the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at Christ Church, Barnesville at 1 p.m. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Tamaqua Seniors

The Tamaqua senior citizens met on Jan. 12 with 26 members in attendance. President Mary Bittle opened the meeting with the reading “Morning Reflection.”

January birthdays are being celebrated by Ann Fedor and Pat Bednarik. Doris Yeager was added to the sick list.

The group meets every Thursday at the Coaldale Complex at 1 p.m. Anyone 55 and older is invited to attend.

Calvary Evangelical

Morning worship at 10:25 a.m. will be a Christmas Memories program. Sunday school is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. and evening service at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25, Prayer and Share at 7 p.m.

Souper Sunday is scheduled for the morning service on Feb. 12. Please bring cans-boxes-packaged soup to share with folk in need.

American Primitive
