Three Kings event

The Three Kings of biblical fame are coming to the Poconos’ West End to offer gifts to children on Jan. 7, 2023.

Our Lady Queen of Peace’s Parish Hall will host this annual celebration, beginning at 2 p.m. and ending by 4 p.m. The Three Kings distribute toys to children 12 and under. Folks can donate toys to the parish office.

Church needs

Effort UMC is seeking to fill a part time organist position for its 11 a.m. Sunday services. This is a salaried position and normally requires about 2 hours per week. An opportunity to serve as the Choir Director is also available (this is a salaried position).

January walk

The Western Pocono Community Library walking track in Brodheadsville will be open the following times come January:

Monday: 9 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday: noon - 4:30 p.m.

Wednesday: noon - 7:30 p.m.

Thursday: noon - 7:30 p.m.

Friday: 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Saturday: 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

In addition, the library offers adult coloring and puzzles in WPCL’s cafe every Monday from 9 a.m. to noon and also has Story Time every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and at 1 p.m. every Wednesday.
