September 30, 1988 - Erik Pecha throws a pair of touchdown passes to Tommy Miller, and Cory Sheridan has a big game on the ground as Panther Valley holds off Schuylkill Haven for a 21-13 victory. Both PV scoring passes come in the opening quarter as Pecha hits Miller with a 60-yard scoring strike, and later finds him for a 15-yard TD toss. The Panthers, coached by Tom Bonner, add a third score in the second quarter as Sheridan reaches the end zone on a 36-yard run. Sheridan finishes the contest with 134 yards on 21 carries. PV’s defense forces nine turnovers, including six interceptions - three by Miller.
