State police at Fern Ridge said troopers are investigating an allegation of statutory sexual assault made by a 15-year-old girl from Effort.

Troopers said the girl alleges she was sexually assaulted at a residence along Silver Maple Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. The incident was reported to troopers on Aug. 24 at 4:47 p.m.

No other information was released by troopers.
