State police release liquor statistics

The Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, Allentown, has released statistics of its enforcement activity for June. The office oversees licenses to businesses in Berks, Bucks, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

Police said they received 58 complaints. Acting on them, officers checked six businesses for age compliance regulations, citing three businesses for sales to underage people.

Police issued 16 violation letters and 15 warning letters, cited one business for underage consumption on the premise and made three criminal arrests.
