Fire companies from three communities were dispatched to a dwelling fire Friday morning in East Penn Township. The fire was reported about 5 a.m. in the 2600 block of Mahoning Mountain Road. It was believed to be a kitchen fire. First responders found smoke in the home upon arrival. Fire companies from East Penn, Mahoning and West Penn townships were on scene.
