Warrant for Tamaqua man who skipped hearing
A bench warrant has been requested for a Tamaqua man who failed to show for a preliminary hearing Tuesday on drugs and weapons charges.
Randal Fisk, 35, of Tamaqua, was to have a hearing in Magisterial District Judge Richard Cashman’s courtroom, but didn’t attend, court records show. Charges were held for court in his absence. A bail bondsman posted $50,000 surety bonds on his behalf previously.
Fisk is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of controlled substance, drugs, device or cosmetic, possession of drug paraphernalia, persons not to possess, use, manufacture, control, sell or transfer a firearm, and unlawful possession of a weapon of mass destruction.
Police said Fisk is not permitted to have a firearm.
Methamphetamine, marijuana, a rifle, and homemade explosive devices were found in an Orwigsburg garage after authorities searched it recently.
The Pennsylvania office of the Attorney General and police from Orwigsburg and Port Carbon had the search and seizure warrant for a garage and Randal Fisk, 35, of Tamaqua. They served it Nov. 16. Fisk and a woman were found leaving 219 W. Fairview St. in Pottsville and were arrested.
A search of the apartment found four scales, plastic bags, suspected marijuana and methamphetamine, according to an affidavit of probable cause.
Inside the garage at 227 W. Market St., Orwigsburg, authorities found 746 grams of methamphetamine, 109 grams of marijuana, three handguns, an AR-15, several homemade explosive devices, scales, and plastic bags used for repackaging drugs.
