Carbon County court — ARD

A total of 13 defendants in pending driving under the influence cases were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Friday by Judge Joseph J. Matika.

If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record will be wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.

All were placed for a year.

Jordan Burak, 19, of Albrightsville, was arrested for DUI of a controlled substance on North Street in Jim Thorpe by state police at Lehighton.

He was assessed $600 for the cost of the program and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 90 days.

Jonathan Dubow Sr., 38, of Lehighton, was arrested on Aug. 10, 2020, by Lehighton police along Third Street for DUI of a controlled substance. A felony count of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance was also included in the program.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Damon James Gearhart, 25, of Lancaster, was arrested on March 8, 2017, by state police at Fern Ridge along Interstate 80 in Kidder Township, for DUI of a controlled substance.

He was assessed $650 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Shari Cathryn Bruder, 21, of Lehighton, was arrested on May 29 by state police at Lehighton along Lizard Creek Road in Bowmanstown for DUI of a controlled substance.

She was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 90 days.

Christina Floren Dejohn, 48, of Drums, Luzerne County, was arrested on Jan. 30 by state police at Lehighton along Interchange Road in Franklin Township. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.

She was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Emily Susan Donlan, 27, of Canadensis, was arrested on May 28 along Covered Bridge Road in Lower Towamensing Township, by state police at Lehighton. Given a test, the result was 0.08 BAC.

She was assessed $450 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service.

Logan Christian Marvel, 19, of Summit Hill, was arrested on May 15 along Interchange Road in Towamensing Township for DUI of a controlled substance by state police at Lehighton.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 90 days.

Thomas Jay Paules, 30, of Bowmanstown, was arrested on June 24 by state police at Lehighton along White Street in Bowmanstown. A test revealed a 0.14 BAC.

He was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 30 days.

Brenda Lynne Stratton, 56, of East Stroudsburg, was arrested on June 16 by Franklin Township police along Canal Street. A test revealed a 0.13 BAC.

She was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 60 days.

Jonathan A. Miller, 40, of Andreas, was arrested on April 13 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of a controlled substance along Laurel Street in Summit Hill.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Shannon Beth Davis, 28, of Conshohocken, Chester County, was arrested on Feb. 2 by Kidder Township police along Route 1003. A test revealed a 0.11 BAC.

She was assessed $500 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and her license was suspended for 30 days.

Ezequiel Dominguez Malagon, 31, of Wapwallopen, Luzerne County, was arrested on Nov. 26, 2020, by state police at Fern Ridge for DUI of a controlled substance along I-80 in Kidder Township.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 60 days.

Dylan Robert Francis, 18, of Berwick, Columbia County, was arrested on April 7 by state police at Lehighton for DUI of a controlled substance along Stock Street in Nesquehoning.

He was assessed $600 and ordered to render 50 hours of community service and his license was suspended for 90 days.

Each defendant must also pay court costs of over $1,000, a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program and follow any recommendation of their drug and alcohol evaluation.
