State police at the Fern Ridge barracks were summoned at 10 a.m. Oct. 23 to investigate a missing person case.

Police said a 15-year-old girl from Effort was reported missing from a residence at Johns Road, Chestnuthill Township.

The girl is described as being about 5-6, 125 pounds and wearing a brown hoodie and ripped blue jeans. She has orange-colored dyed hair, police said.

Police are asking anyone knowing her whereabouts to contact them at 570-646-2271.
