NCC to host ‘Purposeful doodling’ course

Northampton Community College Presents “Purposeful Doodling: A Beginner’s Guide to Visual Note Taking for Work, School and Relaxation.”

Explore the basics of purposeful doodling. Interactive and visuals to create a personal vocabulary of shapes, imagery and text that results in an enriched learning experience on Nov. 16, 6:30-8:30 p.m. in an online class. No drawing experience necessary. Students will need copy paper, black pens, pencils and markers.

The instructor, Martha Lubow, was selected in a competition sponsored by Lehigh University Art Gallery. Her doodle, “Diamonds in Your Eye” was accepted for an exhibit “Thinking through Drawing: Works on Paper, Drawings and Sketchbooks from the Collection and Community” and was featured on a billboard on the South Bethlehem Greenway, in a digital exhibition in LUAG galleries, and on their website.

Lubow’s mission is to help children of all ages achieve confidence and creativity through doodling, music, and movement in a love-based setting, without worrying about who or where they are in their life’s journey.
