The 40-member Cressona Band entertains Monday at the 191st anniversary celebration of the Kaup Estate, a founding farmstead of the 1829 Village of Home, today known as Hometown. The estate, which fronts Route 54 and includes the original homestead on Holland Avenue, continues under family ownership. Descendant Marria O’Malley Walsh announced that the estate will adhere to land conservation provisions of the Clean and Green Act and will not be developed, per the wishes of her mother, the late Elizabeth Kaup O’Malley.
