Towamensing Township’s fire department is rounding into form rather nicely.

Eight fire police were sworn in at Thursday’s board of supervisors meeting.

Those sworn in include Cole George, Dave Kreiser, John Lester, Robert O’Donnell, Dan Reis, Zack Schoenberger, Greg Solensky and Evan Stevenson.

Following a round of applause by those in attendance, board Chairman Guy Seifert heaped praise on not only those individuals, but the department as a whole.

“The fire company is doing a much better job than (what’s been),” Seifert said. “They’re doing a really good job, got good synergy.”
