CARBON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Carbon County Commissioners on Thursday approved the following items:

• An agreement to provide Personal Emergency Response System services with ADT LLC, from July 1, through June 30, 2024. Rates are $17.50/month for landline, cellular and mobile. A fall detection option is an additional $5 per month.

• An agreement to provide Personal Emergency Response System services with Medical Guardian LLC, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from July 1 through June 30, 2024. Rates are $23/month for landline; $25/month for cellular and $30/month for mobile.

• An agreement to provide Personal Emergency Response System services with MedScope America Corporation, of Wynnewood, from July 1, through June 30, 2024. Rates are $30/month for landline, cellular and mobile.

• An agreement to continue to provide Personal Emergency Response System services with Valued Relationships Inc., of Franklin Ohio, from July 1, through June 30, 2024. Rates are $25/month for landline, $30/month for cellular and mobile. A fall detection option is an additional $5 per month.

• A third quarter Act 148 Children and Youth Services invoice report which will result in the county receiving $6,992.72 in IT grant funds, $674 in Housing Grant funds, $16,776.71 in Title IV-E AA funds, $7,030 in TANF funds and $177.21 in Medicaid funds.

• An amendment to the agreement with Judicial Systems Inc. of Tyler, Texas, to purchase and install telephonic Juror Information Management System telephone software system to interface with the Jury 2020 Plus at a total cost of $11,682 plus $1,292 for technical support and software updates.

• A business associate agreement with BMI Audit Services Inc. LLC, as required to protect the privacy and security of protected health information associated with the dependent eligibility audit.

• A change order extending the completion date to the contract with Pioneer Construction Co. Inc. of Honesdale for Community Development Block Grant water/sewer improvements in Church Alley, from Pine Avenue to Packer Hill Avenue, due to significant rock removal. The new contract deadline will be Aug. 29.

• Fiscal year 2020 cooperation agreements for nonentitlement communities with the Community Development Block Grant project for Beaver Meadows, Lansford and Nesquehoning.

• Revision two for the proposals received from Corporate Environments of Bethlehem for furnishings located at the first floor of 76 Susquehanna Street. One table was removed at $669.73 and three chairs were removed at $310.50 each.

• Renewal agreements with the Independent Living Services, Care Link Home Care, In Home Referral, JJCS Health Care Services, Maximum Care Inc., Traditional Home Care LLC, R&L Helpmates Inc. and Royal Home Care Services to continue to provide personal care and home support services for the term July 1, through June 30, 2024, at the rate of $19.68/hour, which is an increase from the previous rate of $19.28/hour.

• Special activities agreements for two events at Mauch Chunk Lake Park; Kayak Fishing Tournament on July 17 and the 50th Switchback Scamper on Oct. 24.

• Termination of the agreement with Gillen & Feliciano P.C. of Lehighton for professional legal services to Carbon County Children & Youth Services, effective June 25.

• A real estate tax refund of $197.48 to Brian and Janice Nothstein of Lehighton due to a parcel error.
