A bicyclist has died after being hit by a car Tuesday in Macungie.

The Lehigh County Coroner’s office said Alexander Zarnas, 36, of Emmaus was pronounced dead at 11:38 p.m. Thursday in the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.

Zarnas was a bicyclist that was struck by a motor vehicle at 5:04 p.m. Tuesday in front of 6710 Mountain Road, Macungie, Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

The death is being investigated by the coroner’s office, the Pennsylvania State Police, Fogelsville Barracks and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office.
