We thought that Jim Thorpe would be on the latter end of receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, being a small town in the Pocono Mountains. Mauch Chunk Pharmacy, owned by Ann Marie Paluck, pulled off the impossible by securing hundreds of doses of the vaccine for area residents. Ann Marie and her efficient, compassionate staff completed an amazing operation in vaccinating many people with the Moderna vaccine over a four-week period. Through diligent planning, careful site organization and smooth injections, we received the vaccine while many people in other areas are being turned away or waiting in very long lines.

As we read about the setbacks realized by much larger organizations, the more we appreciate Mauch Chunk Pharmacy’s efforts.
