BOWMANSTOWN BOROUGH COUNCIL

Bowmanstown Borough Council in a 6-0 vote took the following action on Tuesday:

• Authorized payment No. 5 in the amount of $73,808 for the M2 construction (reed beds for the sewer plant).

• Approved a quote to replace the flow meter received from W.G. Maiden in the amount of $4,680.

• Approved a proposal to replace an existing burned breaker and wiring for SBR No. 1 blower in the amount of $692 from Innovative Control Solutions.

• Moved forward with wastewater treatment plant operator Chris Bixler’s 90-day evaluation raise making retroactive, pending personnel’s recommendations.

• Agreed to start an ordinance so that the borough may be able to inspect homes to check for illegal connections, such as sump pumps, correct hookups for washers, and rain spouts, etc.

• Approved the COVID-19 policy update.

• Announced the borough will host an electronic recycling event sometime in early May.

Council President William Ravert was absent.
