State police at Fern Ridge report on crashes

State police at Fern Ridge reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers.

• A three-vehicle crash was reported at 11:53 a.m. on Feb. 17 along Route 209 in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said vehicles operated by Michael J. Horstman, 54, of Staten Island, New York, Lawrence A. Wood, 54, of Brodheadsville, and Ricky Williams, 60, of Effort, were all eastbound. Wood and Williams came to a stop due to Williams attempting to turn into a restaurant parking lot. Horstman attempted to stop but was unable with his 2014 GMC Denali hitting Woods’ 2003 Toyota Highlander in the rear passenger side, pushing it into Williams’ 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 truck.

No one was injured. The GMC and Toyota had to be towed.

West End Fire Company and ambulance volunteers assisted at the scene. Troopers indicated Horstman was facing a citation for following too closely.

• Troopers said a one-vehicle crash occurred at 8:44 a.m. on Feb. 19 along Route 715 in Jackson Township, Monroe County.

Troopers said a 2012 Nissan Murano driven by Denise A. Brennan, 53, of Stroudsburg, left the road and struck a tree. She was injured and taken to a hospital. The vehicle had to be towed.

She was cited for the crash.

• A two-vehicle crash occurred on Feb. 21 at 12:29 p.m. along Route 209, east of Weir Lake Road, in Chestnuthill Township. Troopers said Keri J. DiAngelis, 48, of Saylorsburg, driving a 2017 Audi A4, failed to yield after a stop and her vehicle was struck by a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Allen S. Graver, 56, of Wind Gap.
