The Pennsylvania State Police have filed murder charges against the Pine Grove man charged in the death of his grandmother.

Kalvin Clark now faces first and third degree murder, aggravated assault, strangulation, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault in the death of his 73-year old grandmother, Sharon Zimmerman.

Charges were filed in Magisterial District Judge David Rossi’s office, Tremont.

Clark remains in Schuylkill County Prison.

The Schuylkill County Communications Center received a call at 3:15 p.m. Jan 24 for an elderly woman who had slipped in the shower and had cuts. Schuylkill EMS responded at 3:17 p.m. to 89 N. Tulpehocken St. and found Zimmerman dead. Police were then called.
