The Schuylkill County Coalition of Historical Societies and Museums has canceled its annual History Faire because of COVID-19 concerns.

Since 2002, the Coalition’s member organizations have displayed and sold historical items at the Fairlane Village Mall on the second Saturday in February.

But because the event draws large crowds, the groups decided to skip it this year.

“We look forward to the History Faire every year, so we were disappointed that we had to cancel it,” said Schuylkill County Historical Society Executive Director Diana Prosymchak. “But we expect to be back at the mall in February 2022 with a terrific get-together for people who love local history.”
