Enough wasteful behavior

I was angered - but not surprised - to read a media report that our Pennsylvania House State Government Committee “has scheduled more than a dozen hearings focused on how Pennsylvania carries out its elections, beginning next week.” Why are we taxpayers going to pay for legislators’ time and expenses for an audit of our election process which has already been challenged and litigated several times in our courts of law - and the challenges dismissed for lack of evidence of “irregularities”? Do our legislators think they are above the law? The only “irregularity” is that their preferred presidential candidate didn’t get enough votes to win.

Rep. Tim Twardzik was quoted as correctly stating “Let’s … do the work of the people.” We taxpayers are paying our elected legislators to use our tax dollars wisely, develop fully funded and balanced budgets, and pass good, needed legislation. Enough of the wasteful partisan behavior!
