3 vehicles involved in turnpike crash

Three vehicles were involved in a crash at 8:46 a.m. Nov. 30 on the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike, state police at the Pocono barracks reported.

Police said Natalie M. Nye, 23, of Shippensburg, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruz southbound when she failed to stay in a single lane, striking the guide rail on the west shoulder of the road. It then crossed both lanes of travel and struck the center concrete divider.

Police said Courtney M. Pesarchick, 28, of West Pittston, attempted to stop to avoid striking the Cruz but was struck in the rear by a 2019 International Harvester operated by Steven R. Stave, 58, of Berthe, Michigan.

Police said Nye suffered suspected minor injuries but was not transported from the scene.
