Three people were charged after state police at the Frackville barracks made a traffic stop of a 2017 Toyota Corolla at 10:29 p.m. Nov. 28 on Interstate 81 in Mahanoy Township.

Police said the driver of the vehicle showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for driving under the influence, while two passengers were charged, one for possession of a controlled substance and the other for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Charged were Nikki Luanglath, 21, of Columbia, Maryland, and Jeremy Huffman, 20, and Tyler Moore, 20, both of Elkridge, Maryland. Police did not specify what charges each are facing.
