The Lehigh Township Police Department will hold a toy drive to benefit Toys for Tots Lehigh Valley.

The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and will be set up in the parking lot of the Lehigh Township Fire Department, 4188 Lehigh Drive, Cherryville.

This year, Toys for Tots has a shortage of toys, more so than ever before.

With many businesses being closed, and fewer people doing in-person shopping, many of the Toys for Tots drop-off sites have seen a dramatic decrease in donations.

The Toy Drive is an opportunity to support the communities, especially those most in need.

The drop-off will be a COVID safe drive-thru-style in the parking lot.
