The 29th annual holiday tree lighting hosted by LVHN-Pocono Foundation and the Rotary Club of the Smithfields will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

The tree lighting will be taking place virtually online this year.

For the 29th year in a row, LVHN-Pocono Foundation and the Rotary Club of the Smithfields invite community members to purchase holiday bulbs in memory or in honor of a loved one. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s tree lighting ceremony will be held virtually. Children’s choirs and bands from local schools will be performing songs for all to enjoy. The event raises money to benefit nonprofit organizations in Monroe County that provide programs for children in need.
