Tamaqua’s Little Miss Spirit of Christmas announced

A 2020 Little Miss Spirit of Christmas was crowned in Tamaqua.

Seven students in third through fifth grades from St. Jerome, Tamaqua Elementary and West Penn Elementary Schools participated in the contest. Each candidate submitted a short essay explaining what the spirit of Christmas meant to them.

Hadesty will participate in the activities during Tamaqua’s Spirit of Christmas Festival Dec. 3-6. Each participant in the contest will participate in the Depot Square Park Lighting and “Meet and Greet” with Santa on Dec. 4 at 6 p.m.

The other participants were Keira Barnes, Tamaqua Elementary; Addison Engleman, St. Jerome Regional School; Lillian Gallagher, St. Jerome Regional School; Carly Green, St. Jerome Regional School; Lilyanne Hess, West Penn Elementary; and Avery Miller, Tamaqua Elementary.
