Thanksgiving Mass

Mass will be offered at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Gilbert, at 9 a.m. Thanksgiving morning. Due to COVID, there will be no blessed bread being given out, but one may bring one’s own bread to Mass and Father will bless it.

Legion closed

In light of the holiday, there are no activities at the West End Memorial American Legion Post 927 in Gilbert this Thursday.

The first group meeting is Dec. 2 at 7:30 p.m., which is slated as West End Home Association election and the monthly meeting.

CJERP meeting

The Chestnuthill-Jackson-Eldred- Ross-Polk Regional Comprehensive group meeting at 7 p.m. at the Chestnuthill Township municipal complex in Brodheadsville has been canceled for this month and December. The group will next meet in January.

Church decorating

Effort UMC will be preparing the church for Advent and Christmas by decorating and adorning the sanctuary on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Church services

Effort UMC is accepting registration for the church service on Sunday from Thursday through Saturday.

Go to the church webpage to register at www.effortumc.org or call the office and help will be provided by staff as available.

Pleasant Valley Assembly of God Church invites people to register for the church services all the way through the end of the year.
