Virtual Open House

Prospective students of all ages can choose from two convenient online open houses this fall to learn about over 100 fields of study offered at Northampton Community College. The open house, inclusive of all NCC sites, will feature a mix of panels and information sessions that will run in 45-minute increments from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m on Nov. 21.

The panel discussions will delve into specific areas of study while the information sessions will cover topics including financial aid, career services, residence life, transfer agreements and more.

Attendees can pick and choose which panels that are of most interest to them based on individual questions and anticipated area of study.

Cops ‘n Kids Events

Northampton Community College will hold Cops ‘n Kids events on several Saturdays, during the fall semester, at the Just Born Cops ‘n Kids Reading Room at the Fowler Family Southside Center, 511 E. Third St., Bethlehem. Each session runs from 10 a.m.-noon.

Masks are required for all attendees. Attendance is limited, and preregistration is required. Register at lvcops-n-kids@att.net.

Virtual Dental Symposium

Northampton Community College will hold its Annual Dental Symposium: “Don’t Fall Asleep With Your Mouth Open: The Dental Team’s Role in Sleep Apnea” (DENTL413) online on the platform Zoom, on Nov. 21, 8:30-11:30 a.m.

Join Lori Dietz as she shares her capstone continuing education project on sleep apnea as a BS degree candidate at Pennsylvania College of Technology. Through lecture, break-out sessions and Q&A, this topic will include the following: obstructive sleep apnea risk factors, assessment, diagnosis, home sleep tests, polysomnography and treatment options.

The fee is $10 for NCC dental hygiene alumni; $30, ADHA members; $59, nonmembers.

Low-Cost Dental Cleanings

Dental hygiene students at Northampton Community College are welcoming new patients to the Litwak Dental Clinic in the college’s Fowler Family Southside Center to provide multiple oral assessments, cancer screenings, dental cleanings, radiographs, fluoride treatments and dental screenings, all under the supervision of licensed hygienists and dentists.

The clinic is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the fall, and dental cleanings are free for all NCC credit students. Members of the public can utilize the services for a nominal fee.

Dual Enrollment Info Sessions for High Schoolers

Northampton Community College is offering dual enrollment information sessions on the Zoom platform, on Nov. 18 at 6 p.m. and Nov. 20 at 11 a.m.

Discover why NCC’s program is an effective way to jump start your college career and earn transferrable credits toward a future degree.

NCC will cover everything you need to know about dual enrollment like the benefits, costs, application process, how to register for classes and scholarship opportunities. If you’re a current high school student taking college prep, honors/AP or career/technical coursework, don’t miss out on the chance to get all of your questions answered.
