Pleasant Valley clinched a berth in the District 11 volleyball playoffs by sweeping an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference contest against East Stroudsburg South.

Lexi Womack had 11 kills and nine digs, while Jackie James finished with 10 kills, 14 digs and three aces as the Bears captured a 25-18, 25-23, 25-14 victory.

The winners, who improved their season record to 5-3, also received 19 assists, five kills and six digs from Andrea Crilley. Also contributing was Kristin Farris, who had 13 digs, and Sarah Ballek, who registered four kills and two aces.

Emily Shupp chipped in with six assists and three digs, while Sophia Tauers added seven assists, four digs and three aces, and Maryam Mattson had five kills and a pair of assists.

The Bears close out the regular season with a doubleheader against Pocono Mountain East today.

The district playoffs begin next Thursday.
