A Schuylkill County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident in Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Frank George, 57, of Shenandoah, was stopped at 10:52 a.m. on Sept. 21 along Route 100 at Cozy Cove Drive in Heidelberg Township, operating a 1992 Oldsmobile Cutlass.

At the stop troopers observed multiple open beer cans in plain view in the vehicle. George also admitted just smoking marijuana, and a marijuana pipe was found in his front pocket. Troopers said George also had a suspended license, DUI related.

He was taken into custody for DUI of alcohol/controlled substances. Police said charges will be filed.
